Overview

The elevation profile stretches from San Diego on the west coast of the USA r along the 32nd parallel from west to east.

USA from west to east

San Diego is located on the Pacific Ocean at 0 m elevation. East of it, there is the narrow mountain range of the Coastal Range with altitudes of over 1500 m. Further east, the Rocky Mountains begin, dominating the entire profile. Here altitudes of over 3000 m are reached. In the Texas area, the Great Plains follow, sloping down to the east. Except for the Appalachian Mountains, the landscape remains relatively flat all the way to the Atlantic coast.
